The holidays can feel sad, stressful or difficult. We may miss loved ones who are away, absent or dead. We may feel burdened by the pressures to make this "the most wonderful time of the year."
Please join us at First Lutheran or at 1stlu.org/live for an hour of worship including music, prayers, candlelight and reflection on what God is up to amidst our blue feelings around Christmas. Invite a friend or neighbor who may find it difficult to worship this time of year.

Funeral for John Every, Friday, Apr 4, noon
John Every passed peacefully on Monday Mar. 31, 2025. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Apr. 4, at noon at First Lutheran, with visitation at the church from 9am until the time of the service. Interment will be at the Onalaska City Cemetery. Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz and Pastor Jason Stanton will officiate. Onalaska City Fire Department will hold his last call after the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the First Lutheran Foundation which will provide perpetual giving in support of local needs in the community. Memorials may also be directed to the Onalaska Fire Department or the charity of the donor’s choice.
