OWLs Potluck
Open to all adults 55+
Led by volunteer coordinator Brian Narveson
We will kick off June with our Potluck on June 18. Since its summer let’s bring our favorite picnic food. For the program we will once again travel virtually to Branson, Missouri to view a show you have never seen that Mary and I really enjoyed last summer. If you like the Branson shows this is one of the best. The Hay Good’s’ Branson show is an electrifying experience that blends jaw-dropping special effects, incredible musical talent and high-energy performances into one unforgettable show. Featuring five brothers and one sister, this family band wows audiences with 20+ instruments, stunning harmonies and a mix of country, rock and pop hits spanning decades. Their state-of-the-art production, including indoor drone light shows and holograms, makes every performance a spectacle. You do not want to miss a chance to see this show. The potluck will be at noon, on June 18 in the Fellowship Hall.
There will be no OWL's events in July as Mary and Brian like to take July off to travel with family. The August potluck will be Wednesday, Aug. 6 in the Fellowship Hall. This is earlier than usual so please mark your calendars. Our program will be Jim Drees from Pathways Home talking about all the work in progress to shelter our homeless population.
The OWLs (Older Wiser Lutherans) are a group at First that welcomes anyone, First Lutheran members or not, who are 55+. For information or to ask questions, contact Brian Narveson at owls@firstlu.org.
A reminder for all meals that First Lutheran is a nut-free campus. Please do not bring food containing nuts or nut butters/oils/extracts of any kind onto the church campus. This is for the safety of all of our members. Thanks!
