A Good-bye from Katie

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
— 2 Corinthians 9:8

Leading the young youth of our congregation has been an amazing experience and a continuous string of blessings since I started. Thus, it is with a very sad heart and mixed feelings that I am leaving this ministry. I have enjoyed all the numerous activities that the youth have experienced together. From movie nights, creating blessing bags, cookie decorating, the rake and run, finding our way through the corn maze, volunteering at the Humane Society, Sugar Creek winter fun days, Sugar Creek explorer camp, Noah’s Ark, volunteering at Clearwater Farm, and reading to nursing home residents just to name a few.  The youth always embrace whatever activity we happen to be doing and work hard to help and do their best with the gifts they been given from God. They’ve always shown kindness and grace toward one another. Often, I walk away after our time together feeling content and full of joy seeing the hope that our youth has or provides for others. I am so grateful that this position crossed my path so many years ago and that God gave me the vision and desire to accept it.  I have learned so much and am a better person for having had the opportunity to work with our youth. Thank you for sharing your children with me and for providing them with opportunities to build on their faith. I will miss them but am looking forward to the next phase of my personal family life as we move into confirmation. May your children always know the gift that they were for me and embrace the memories and community that we formed. Thank you for the beautiful and wondrous years!

Blessed beyond measure,

Katie Everson

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
